Nokia’s Music Store which will offer tracks at 1 Euro a pop and albums for 10 Euros will be launching this Friday along with the new N-Gage platform.

Rumor has it the N82 will be announced as well, but I’m hearing conflicting information. The N82 being the N95 in a candybar form factor and swapping an LED flash for a Xenon based solution.

T-Mobile Germany Iphone Rate Plans

Following the official announcement in September, T-Mobile and Apple today announced three rate plans for users of the iPhone in Germany, starting at €49 per month. Called “iPhone Complete” plans, all three include unlimited data, Visual Voicemail and access to T-Mobile’s more than 8,000 Wi-Fi HotSpots in Germany.

Apple's popular device is scheduled to go on sale on November 9 and will be sold in Germany through Telekom Shops of Deutsche Telekom and the T-Mobile website and will require a new 2-year T-Mobile rate plan; it will be available in an 8GB model for €399 including V.A.T.

The entry level €49 "Complete M" plan offers 100 minutes and 40 SMS messages, while the "Complete L" for €69 offers 200 minutes and 150 SMS messages. The highest plan "Complete XL" plan offers 1000 minutes and 300 SMS messages for €89. The company said that additional minutes will be €0.39/minute for the "M" and "L" plans and €0.29/minute for the "XL" plan, while text messages over the allotted number will be an additional €0.29 per message. The company is also charging a one-time set-up free of €25, but it is unclear whether existing T-mobile customers will be charged this fee.

First Diamond Apple Iphone Announced by Amosu, Only $41,225

Where there's gold, diamonds are sure to follow. It's become a familiar pattern, as we saw most recently with an 18k gold Shuffle that was soon followed by a diamond-encrusted version. So it was time to start an office pool after a 24k iPhone began making the rounds a few weeks ago.

Like clockwork, today Crave got an email from Amosu, one of the more prolific bling meisters in the gadget world, with what it calls "the first diamond Apple iPhone." In classically over-the-top fashion, the U.K. purveyor has adorned this limited edition with 420 diamonds totaling 5.65 carats set in 18k white or yellow gold, with a choice of white, black or pink sapphires. Decisions, decisions.

It wasn't officially listed on Amosu's Web site as of this writing, but we have little doubt that it'll make good on its promise for a launch next month, given its track record--especially because it knows that there are people out there actually willing to pay the $41,225 price. We hope only that it doesn't become the model for an iPhone pendant.

No Iphone for Canada..Yet

You know what they say…if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!

And that seems to be the case with the "leaked" Rogers ad we ran showing the iPhone making its
way up north to Rogers on December, 7th.

Rogers spokesperson Odette Coleman has issued the following statement: "The ad in Boy Genius, Mashable, Engadget blogs was not produced by Rogers. Nothing further to announce on iPhone." Our favorite part of the article though, is this…"So it looks like the ad was either made by a fanboy trying to milk the iPhone news here in Canada, or it was made by an advertising agency for Rogers."

Roger’s execs promised a "device" announcement in November, a December date could jive with those promises. The leaked ad sure looks real. It promises a pre-order for the phone on Roger.com on November 20, so you can buy one before Christmas and get it in January" Oh well, there you have it! It started here, and ends here — no iPhone confirmation on Rogers, yet.

T-Mobile HTC Shadow Hands-on Video

T-Mobile has just announced its newest Windows Mobile 6 Smartphone, the Shadow. The HTC Shadow is a slider with a SureType keypad and quad-band GSM/EDGE radios. T-Mobile and Microsoft developed a user interface overlay that users can use to access most of the phone's features without diving into Windows Mobile. The D-pad doubles as a scroll wheel to navigate through the menus. It also has stereo Bluetooth and a 2 Megapixel camera, expandable storage with the microSD slot, and Wi-Fi. It is compatible with MyFaves, and goes on sale October 31st for $150 with two-year contract. T-Mobile has also recently reduced its unlimited data plan pricing from $30 per month to $20. This is the first phone in a "planned franchise of phones" under the Shadow brand exclusive to T-Mobile.

LG Announces "Wooden" Phone

LG announced a new mobile phone in its Shine product line. The LG Shine Wood features a wooden body and shiny metal accents.

Despite the natural feel the LG Shine Wood sports high-end features. LG packed DMB TV, a 2MP camera, MP3 player, Bluetooth, and an electronic dictionary into the LG-LB2005H.

As far as I understand from the Korean press-release, the wooden surface of the LG-LB2005H is no actually wood, but a high-end printed natural wood pattern.

Apple Gift Cards Cannot be Used to Buy an Iphone

You can chalk this one up to our bad in assuming best intentions, but when Apple said no cash for iPhones, they damn well meant it -- enough to extend the policy out to no cash for anything that could in turn purchase an iPhone.

Turns out you can't even use your Apple bucks to buy an iPhone anymore, not even if someone bought you an Apple Gift Card with their credit card.

Ok, for a lot of you this isn't a big deal, but who gets hit hardest? Try all those teenage Apple fanboys begging various family members for small denomination gift cards that will add up to the iPhone they've been after.

We've never heard any company being so adamant about keeping non-paper trail for every single damned purchase, but now we're just left wondering how long until someone (or some state) sour from this bitter pill decides to challenge Apple on that whole US dollar bills being "legal tender for all debts, public and private" thing.

Iphone for Canada?

If this leaked shot of a Roger’s ad turns out to be legit, we shall see the iPhone hit Canada on December, 7th. It should sell for $499CAD on a 3-year contract, and we’re guessing it will be the 8GB model. We were told that since there is this little trademark dispute over the iPhone name in Canada, this might not be a final image, but it does look pretty polished. It also appears pre-orders will start November the 20th, but again, huge unconfirmed bit here, so take it as you will…

Nokia Opens Flagship Store in China, Largest in the World

Shanghai, China - Nokia announced the grand opening of the first Nokia Flagship Store in Mainland China, the only stand-alone Nokia Flagship Store and the largest in the world. The Nokia Shanghai Flagship Store is the seventh of 18 planned Flagship Stores and is the second in the region following the opening of the premier Asia Pacific Flagship Store in Hong Kong.
Five Chinese celebrities served as Nokia ambassadors at the opening ceremony - Hu Yan Bing, VJ Li Chen, An Yu Xuan, Du Cong, and Lian Du.

The Nokia Shanghai Flagship Store is equipped to provide an interactive multimedia experience with a state-of-the-art audio and video system that creates a comfortable and energizing environment. Upon entering the front doors, display screens help consumers identify the area of the store containing the products that best meet their needs. Detailed information for a particular product appears on a nearby digital display as a consumer picks up the product. This system helps to create a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience by making mobile technology easy for everyone to understand.
All of the products on display are connected to the store's network, and thus linked to a selection of relevant Nokia accessories such as wireless speakers, headsets, and printers. Consumers can enjoy a complete mobile experience with applications such as navigation, e-mail, music, games, and weather forecasts, among others. The multimedia displays even allow consumers to send text messages to consumers shopping at other Nokia Flagship Store locations around the world.
In addition to these features, the store offers personalized customer service. Staff members at the Nokia Flagship Store are highly trained graduates of Nokia's award-winning Nokia Academy. The staff team provides consumers with personal attention and guidance in selecting mobile products that best-suit their diverse needs.

Located on Nanjing East Road in the most prestigious fashion district and business center of Shanghai, the Nokia Shanghai Flagship Store is front-line attraction, allowing the more than 500,000 consumers who pass by every day to experience the future of mobile life.

To mark the grand opening of the Shanghai Flagship Store, Nokia launched the Pass-It-On campaign, which was inspired by its consumer vision of "Connecting people." The campaign began with five famous influencers - famous singer Hu Yan Bing, An Yi Xuan, VJ Li Chen, philanthropist Du Chong, and Lian Du, the owner of a famous dance school. All of them participated in the opening ceremony and shared their mobile life experiences.
To support the Pass-It-On campaign, Nokia launched an official website named meet-your-city (www.meet-your-city.com). Consumers can log onto this website to meet mobile users in different cities and to become involved in the Pass-It-On campaign.

Shirt to Power your Phone

Power walking may never be the same again. Australian researchers are developing shirts that will generate electricity whenever the wearer moves. The Sydney Morning Herald reports.

"The shirts would directly power mobile telephones, portable music players and other small electrical appliances.

Dr Best, of the CSIRO's Energy Technology Division, predicted the first power shirts - or flexible integrated energy devices - could be developed within five years.

The secret behind the idea involves piezo electrical materials. "Whenever you bend or deform piezo electrical material it creates an electrical charge."

If a shirt could be woven from the fabric, the constant vibration would "produce electricity as you move".

The power would be fed into flexible batteries that would also be woven into the shirt. Appliances, including mobile phones and palm pilots could then be plugged into the shirt.

The technology could revolutionise appliances such as mobile phones. By adding printed flexible circuit boards, they, too, could be woven into clothing.

"We see no reason why you couldn't do that," said Dr Best, saying the day may not be far off when people could make phone calls simply by talking into their collars.

Sprint to Unlock Phones

Sprint has become the first American CDMA wireless company to begin unlocking their hardware once contracts have been honored. The move will allow other unlocked handsets to function on Sprint's network, but whether the reverse will occur with the other carriers is yet to be seen. For ex-Sprint customers who are happy with their phones but want to move to a different provider, it will not be imperative to purchase a new handset for the switch. This is because the unlocked handsets will function on all compatible carriers across the board. Well done to Sprint for being the first out there to get the, now inevitable, mass unlocking phenomenon well underway.

Iphone Nano Live Pics?

Today, the first live photos of the iPhone Nano showed up at Gadgetzone. Is this device fake and or does Apple really think about bringing an iPhone Nano to the market? A clear confirmation of the device has not been given yet, but we can conclude that the photos of the iPhone Nano look a lot like the regular Apple iPhone.

The Apple iPhone Nano seems to have the same display as the Apple iPhone has, only smaller. Besides this the device is surrounded by the same silver color as we recognize with the Apple iPhone. What we can see besides this is that even the menu key is the same as with the original device.

Where the Apple iPhone is about 11.5 centimeters long, the iPhone Nano would be about eight centimeters. With this it could become a really compact device and a nice gadget for the Apple fans.

Distinctive with the photos of the Apple iPhone Nano is that the port for the charger and the headset are placed at the bottom of the device and not at the top as with the regular Apple iPhone.

At this moment, the Apple iPhone Nano is more a rumor than reality. Is the device on the photo for real or is it fake? Will this device offer 3G functionality or only 2G just as with the Apple iPhone? These questions will probably not be answered any time soon.

Iphone Limited to Two Per Person, Cash Purchase No Longer Accepted

Coincidence or not, Apple has stiffened up the requirements to pick up a new iPhone shortly after announcing that 250,000 or so of the 1.4 million it sold in Q4 went to unlockers. In an admittedly intriguing move, Apple has decided that it will "no longer accept cash for iPhone purchases," and moreover, each individual will only be allowed to buy two (on plastic, of course) in an effort to "stop people from reselling them." More specifically, spokeswoman Natalie Kerris stated that the company is "requiring a credit or debit card for payment to discourage unauthorized resellers," so don't even bother bringing the greenbacks if you're lookin' to grab an iPhone from Apple.
